Building Inclusive Learning Ecosystems for Universities

30 September 2026

CHEC and the University of the Western Cape invited staff and students to the first seminar in the Building Inclusive Learning Ecosystems for Universities series, held under the theme What Fell? What Took Root? University, Community and Transformation Ten Years After #Fallist.

A decade after the #RhodesMustFall and #FeesMustFall movements, and following the conclusion of the CHEC seminars on decoloniality funded by the Mellon Foundation, the seminar invited participants to reflect on the state of transformation in South African higher education — to consider what has changed during the past ten years, and what needs to be prioritised going forward.
