CHEC has released a new publication highlighting a decade of impactful partnership research across the Western Cape. Since its establishment in 2001, CHEC has brought together the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Stellenbosch University, University of Cape Town and University of the Western Cape to facilitate collaborative research that addresses regional development needs. This report showcases how these university-government partnerships have strengthened collaboration with industry and civil society, delivering research that directly informs government policy and supports both economic and social development in the region. The publication demonstrates the value of consortia in South Africa's higher education landscape and extends gratitude to the Western Cape Government, City of Cape Town, and the researchers who have contributed their expertise to advancing the region's priorities.
